January - February

What a blessing to be able to share God’s ministry through Faith with the local listening community! How are you doing this summer? We’d love to hear from you! Drop us a note and let us know how you are and how we can pray for you.

What a semester it has been!

In the midst of all our activities, our students worked diligently. Our staff cared for the needs of our students and faculty. Our faculty poured God’s Word and truths into our students so they could discover for themselves how to grow in Christ and turn knowledge into wisdom and practical service for Him. We praise God! Isn’t it amazing that, although He certainly doesn’t need us, He chooses to use us? We invite you to reflect on the last 6 months, praising God for how He has used FBC in the classroom and in the community and praying for the future. Great is His Faithfulness!

January

Dr. Kevin Newman and Dr. Kevin Jones led FBC’s Faith Positions Forum on Christians and Politics. This 3-night discussion covered how the early church viewed politics and how we as Christians can view politics in our culture. We were blessed to have Tenessa Audette, Mayor of Redding, CA; Denise Gitsham, author and political commentator; and Nick Rerras, former VA State Senator, join us to discuss their perspectives. (Click here for a recap!)

Thanks, Waters Edge tech crew, for using your talents for this forum!

PRAISE: We praise God for the freedom to discuss tough issues publicly and for fellow believers who learn from each other.

PRAY: We pray for our leaders and that God guide His people to reason wisely during this season of decision-making.

February

Kevin and Kevin again combined their expertise by introducing FBC’s first-ever weekly podcast, Journey by Faith! Starting in Genesis, they are leading us through the Bible, highlighting interesting and challenging points pertaining to that week’s Scripture. We welcome you to join our growing group of listeners on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music!

New opportunity!

Would you like to sponsor a podcast?

FBC will recognize your business or ministry for $25 an episode or $100 for a month with an additional ad bonus. We’ll give you more details soon!

PRAISE: We thank God for the technology available to teach His Word to people around the world!

PRAY: Please pray that this ministry continues to grow and that others will join FBC with this outreach.

Also in February…

Chaplain Dale Parker organized a group of students who shared a 30-minute radio spot on the WWIP radio shows. Page Bagley, Dawn Martin, Sharon Boxton, and Brian Moody discussed their student perspectives of Faith Bible College and how their education is influencing their lives. Listen to the segment now!
